NEMO and the German Museums Association will be co-organising the first of three conferences, "Museums and Social Responsibility: Values Revisited" on 17-18 September 2020 (Central European Summer Time).
This will be an online conference and will focus on museums' significant contribution to social responsibility by dealing with questions that are connected to social cohesion, social inclusion, and social diversity. Attendants will discuss what museums can do, what is needed, and what is still missing to make an impact on European society. Short lectures, panel discussions, and workshops will be dedicated to community involvement, education and culture, employment creation and skills development, technology development and access issues, wealth and income creation issues, social investment, and health issues.
