South West Fed Conference 2020


The South West Fed Conference 2020 will be held online and will focus on the theme "Interpreting, Curating and Combatting the Climate Emergency".

Sessions will be held on Zoom in British Summer Time. The conference will feature the different ways the museums and heritage sector can respond to the challenges posed by climate change and life with/after COVID-19. Sessions will explore and discuss how museums and heritage sites can contribute to increasing public awareness and civic engagement, and how we can develop sustainable and safe practices which will mitigate and adapt to the climate emergency, and to the coronavirus.

Keynote speakers are Stuart Frost (British Museum), Dave Coleman (Carbon Literacy Project), and Lynsey Jones (Museum Development NW), while speakers include professionals from Climate Museum UK, V&A Museum of Childhood, Kids in Museums, National Maritime Museum Greenwich, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Cornwall Museum Partnership, and the University of Exeter.
