Museum Exhibition Design: Histories and Futures

Hosted by the Centre for Design History, University of Brighton, "Museum Exhibition Design: Histories and Futures" is an online conference that will bring international scholars from all disciplines and career stages together to consider museum exhibition design practice and exhibition making.

The conference welcomes those studying temporary and permanent display practices in museums, from the eighteenth century to the recent past, with reflective commentary from exhibition makers practicing today. Its purpose is to reframe understandings of museums and their genealogy and enter into a dialogue to plan for the future. Over the two weeks of the live event, the conference website will host keynotes, panel presentations and Q&As; web pages will include reading lists, links to global research centres and archives, and a noticeboard for worldwide research projects.

The keynote speakers will be Professor Suzanne Macleod (University of Leicester, UK) and Professor Andrea Witcomb (Deakin University, Australia).
