The 21st International Conference on Cultural Economics will be held in 2020 in Lille, focusing on cultural policy with keynote presentations and special sessions involving cultural institutions and policymakers to discuss this topical area.

It will explore how digitisation has changed the cultural sector, calling for new research in cultural economics and new methods of doing cultural policy. The biennial conference of the Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI) brings together academic scholars, government officials, foundation officials, managers of arts and cultural organisations, and artists in furthering understanding of the economic aspects of the arts and culture in their own countries and throughout the world.
